El oleato de butilo es el éster de ácido graso formado a partir de butan-1-ol y ácido oleico. Se utiliza como plastificante, en particular para el PVC, y como disolvente, lubricante y agente hidrófugo en recubrimientos y abrillantadores. También sirve como suavizante para cauchos naturales y sintéticos.
