Alkyletherfosfaat is een anionische oppervlakteactieve fosfaatester. Het wordt gebruikt voor wasmiddel en bevochtiging in alkalische reinigingsmiddelen en textieltoepassingen. In metaalbewerkingsvloeistoffen dient het als hydrotroop en corrosieremmer. Cosmetische toepassingen omvatten het gebruik als reinigende oppervlakteactieve stof. Het materiaal is een kleurloze tot lichtgele stroperige vloeistof. Cosmetisch gebruik is onderworpen aan de voor het ingrediënt geldende cosmeticavoorwaarden.
