Kaliumhydroxide, of KOH, is een sterke alkalische base, ook bekend als bijtende potas. Het fungeert als een chemisch tussenproduct en pH-regulator. Toepassingen zijn onder meer vloeibare en zachte zepen, alkalische batterijen en industriële reinigers. Het dient ook bij de galvanisatie en de productie van halfgeleiders.
