Ferric sulfate, also known as iron(III) sulfate, is used as a coagulant and flocculant. Water utilities and industrial plants use it for phosphorus precipitation, colour removal, clarification and sludge conditioning in municipal and industrial wastewater treatment; other uses include etching aluminium, pickling stainless steel and copper, mordanting in textile dyeing and making iron salts and pigments. Recorded packaging formats include 250 kg drums, 1000 L IBC and bulk.
