Frequently asked questions

Direct answers on how quoting, documentation and delivery work at ChemOtto. If your question is not covered here, the contact page reaches a specialist directly.

Ordering and the quote process

How do I request a quote?

Submit the request form with the product name or CAS number, quantity, grade and delivery country, or write to info@chemotto.com. A specialist replies with price, lead time and the documentation to match — in hours, not days (office hours Monday–Friday, 09:00–18:00 CET). You can also call or WhatsApp +39 352 002 0128.

Request a Quote Contact

How long does a quote take?

Usually hours, not days. Requests that include the product name or CAS number, quantity, grade and delivery country are priced fastest, because nothing has to be asked back. Our office answers Monday to Friday, 09:00–18:00 CET; requests received outside those hours are handled the next business morning.

Can I order online, or do you publish prices?

No — ChemOtto works on a quote basis, not a webshop. Industrial chemical pricing depends on quantity, grade, packaging and delivery terms, so a fixed list price would rarely be the correct one. Send a request and you receive a current, written price for your exact specification — usually within hours.

Request a Quote

Can I request several products in one quote?

Yes. The request form takes multiple products in a single submission, each with its own quantity, grade, packaging preference and document selection (TDS, SDS, CoA). One specialist handles the whole request and replies with a consolidated quote, so a multi-product enquiry is answered as quickly as a single-product one.

What happens after I submit a request?

A specialist reviews it directly — checking availability and pricing, and where useful weighing technically suitable alternatives — and comes back to you with the relevant details. If something in the request is unclear, we contact you rather than guess. The details you submit are used only to answer your request; see the privacy policy.

Privacy

What payment terms do you offer?

Payment terms are stated in the quote and agreed per order. They depend on the product, volume and delivery arrangement, and are confirmed in writing before you commit to anything. If your procurement process requires specific terms, state that in the request and the quote will address it explicitly.

Documentation: TDS, SDS and CoA

Which documents can I request with a quote?

The technical data sheet (TDS), safety data sheet (SDS) and certificate of analysis (CoA) — selectable per product directly in the quote form, where each product row carries TDS/SDS/CoA checkboxes. Tick what you need.

Request a Quote

Is the SDS available in my language?

Yes. The SDS is supplied in the language your destination market requires, in the REACH Annex II format, with classification and labelling aligned to CLP. State the delivery country in your request and the correct language version is included without further asking.

What is the difference between a TDS, an SDS and a CoA?

A TDS (technical data sheet) describes a product's typical properties and applications. An SDS (safety data sheet) is the regulatory hazard-communication document — classification, safe handling, storage and transport. A CoA (certificate of analysis) certifies the measured values of one specific production batch. In practice: you evaluate with the TDS, operate safely with the SDS, and verify each delivery against its CoA.

Compliance and regulatory

How are products classified and labelled?

Classification, labelling and hazard communication follow CLP. Every consignment ships with an SDS in the REACH Annex II format and destination-language labelling aligned to the CLP classification, so goods-in and EHS teams receive consistent hazard information across products and batches.

Do you supply food-grade materials?

Yes. Food grade is a selectable grade in the quote form, and food additives are a dedicated product category. Food-grade material is supplied to the relevant purity specification — the E-number purity criteria where applicable — with the specification confirmed on the CoA of the supplied batch.

Can you supply ingredients for cosmetics?

Yes — Cosmetics & Personal Care is one of the ten industries we serve. Ingredients are supplied with the documentation a cosmetic manufacturer needs for the product information file under Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009: TDS, SDS and the batch CoA, with grade and specification confirmed per product in the quote.

Cosmetics & Personal Care

Do you supply preservatives and biocidal active substances?

Yes — preservatives and biocides are a product category we supply. For biocidal active substances, EU supply follows Regulation (EU) No 528/2012 (BPR), including the Article 95 supplier requirements where applicable; the regulatory status is confirmed per substance and product-type before we quote.

Logistics, quantities and packaging

What is your minimum order quantity?

There is no blanket minimum — quantities are matched to what your production actually needs, from single drums or 25 kg bags up to full truckloads and bulk tankers. Practical minimums vary per product and producer, so state the quantity you genuinely need in the request and the quote reflects it.

Request a Quote

What packaging options are available?

Standard industrial packaging: 25 kg bags, big bags, drums (steel, plastic or fibre), IBCs, and bulk deliveries by tanker or ISO tank. Each product page lists the packaging forms available for that specific product, and the quote form lets you state a packaging preference per product.

Where do you deliver?

Chemotto S.r.l. delivers across the European Union and neighbouring countries. Delivery terms and the delivered price are stated clearly in the quote for your named destination, so there are no surprises at order stage.

Request a Quote

What are typical lead times?

Lead time is quoted per product and quantity, together with the price — it depends on the product, the producer's schedule and the delivery destination, so a single blanket figure would be misleading. The quote states the lead time in writing, and any change is flagged before you commit.

Can you deliver directly to my customer?

Yes — this type of delivery is available on request. Mention it in the additional-details field of the request and we work with you to clarify the specifics.

Can I discuss a technical question with a person?

Yes — email, phone and WhatsApp are answered by people who can make decisions on price, terms and technical suitability, not a call centre. If your question needs producer input, we take it, get the answer and come back to you, rather than leaving you to chase.
