Sodium thiosulfate is an inorganic reducing agent, also spelled sodium thiosulphate. It neutralises chlorine in water treatment and acts as a photographic fixer. In textile bleaching, it is used as an antichlor to remove residual chlorine. Its appearance is a white, odourless crystalline solid or colourless crystals.
