Broomfenolblauw, ook bekend als tetrabroomfenolblauw, is een 2,1-benzoxathiool-1,1-dioxide met twee 3,5-dibroom-4-hydroxyfenylgroepen op positie 3. Het wordt gebruikt als laboratoriumindicator, geel bij pH 3,0 en paars bij pH 4,6, en als kleurstof en biologische kleurstof. Het lost op in water tot ongeveer 0,4 g per 100 mL en is beter oplosbaar in methyl- en ethylalcohol.
