Cocamidopropylbetaïne is een amfotere oppervlakteactieve stof op basis van kokosvetzuren. Het zorgt voor milde reiniging en schuim in shampoos, vloeibare zepen en badschuim. In combinatie met anionische oppervlakteactieve stoffen ondersteunt het de verdikking. Cosmetisch gebruik is onderworpen aan de voor het ingrediënt geldende cosmeticavoorwaarden.
