Irgafos 168 is een secundaire fosfiet-antioxidant. Het wordt gebruikt om polymeren en kunststoffen te beschermen tegen thermische en oxidatieve afbraak tijdens de verwerking, waardoor de kleur en mechanische eigenschappen behouden blijven. Het wordt ook gebruikt als antioxidant en stabilisator voor polyolefinen, polyurethaan, ABS, PET, PMMA, polyamide, polycarbonaat en polystyreen. Het is een wit tot gebroken wit, vrijstromend poeder of korrels.
