1,2-Dichlorobenzene (o-dichlorobenzene) is a dichlorobenzene carrying chloro substituents at positions 1 and 2. It is a clear, colourless liquid with a pleasant odour, denser than water and insoluble in it. It is used as a chemical intermediate, a solvent, a heat transfer liquid, a degreasing agent and a paint solvent.
