Aminoethylethanolamine (2-(2-aminoethylamino)ethanol) is a clear, colourless liquid with an ammonia-like odour. It is used as a chemical intermediate for chelating agents, detergents, emulsifiers and corrosion inhibitors, as a textile finishing compound and as an additive to oils in metal cutting.
