Ceresin wax is a purified mineral wax and a complex mixture of hydrocarbons. It is used as a consistency agent in cosmetic formulations. It also serves as a stabiliser in pharmaceutical ointments and creams. The material is a white to yellowish waxy solid. Recorded grades are technical, cosmetic and pharma. Packaging formats include 25 kg bags, 500 kg big bags and bulk. Cosmetic use is subject to the applicable cosmetic-ingredient conditions. Pharmaceutical use requires the applicable pharmacopoeia grade.
