Diethylthiourea (1,3-diethyl-2-thiourea) is thiourea in which each nitrogen carries an ethyl substituent. It is a buff solid or white powder. It is used as an accelerator for rubber processing, an accelerator activator in elastomers and a corrosion inhibitor in metal pickling solutions.
