Polyamide 6, also known as nylon 6 or polycaprolactam, is a semicrystalline engineering thermoplastic. It is a tough, abrasion-resistant polymer used for injection moulding, extrusion and fibre production. Its applications include the automotive and textile industries. The material takes the form of white to off-white pellets or granules. Recorded packaging formats include 25 kg bags, 1000 kg big bags and bulk.
