Potassium hydroxide, or KOH, is a strong alkaline base also known as caustic potash. It acts as a chemical intermediate and pH regulator. Applications include liquid and soft soaps, alkaline batteries and industrial cleaners. It also serves in electroplating and semiconductor manufacturing. Supplied forms include white to pale-yellow flakes or pellets and aqueous solutions. Recorded grades include food, technical and reagent. Packaging formats include 25 kg bags, 1000 kg big bags, 200 kg steel drums and bulk.
