Tetraethylene glycol is a colourless, viscous liquid used as a solvent, plasticiser and chemical intermediate. Its applications include coatings, inks and adhesives. It also serves as a dehumidifying agent and as a solvent for nitrocellulose and lacquers. The material is recorded as 3,6,9-trioxaundecane-1,11-diol.
