Triethylamine is a tertiary amine used in pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals and polymer chemistry. It acts as a catalyst for polyurethane foams and as a curing agent for epoxy resins. Other applications include use as a solvent. The material is a clear, colourless liquid with a strong, pungent odour.
