Acetyl triethyl citrate is a citrate ester plasticiser. It is used in pharmaceutical coatings, films and other polymer systems. In personal care, it serves as a plasticiser and film-forming ingredient, with additional use as a fragrance ingredient. The material is a clear, colourless, viscous liquid. Recorded grades include technical, food-contact, pharma and Ph. Eur. Packaging formats include 200 kg steel drums, 1000 kg IBCs and bulk. Cosmetic use is subject to the applicable cosmetic-ingredient conditions. Pharmaceutical use requires the applicable pharmacopoeia grade.
