Acetyl tributyl citrate, or ATBC, is a citrate ester plasticiser. It is used in vinyl resins, rubber and cellulosic resins. Applications include flexible PVC, packaging films, toys and pharmaceutical coatings. It also serves as an excipient and is used in selected cosmetic formulations. Recorded grades include technical, food-contact, pharma, USP, Ph. Eur. and cosmetic. Packaging formats include 200 kg steel drums, 1000 kg IBCs and bulk. Cosmetic use is subject to the applicable cosmetic-ingredient conditions. Pharmaceutical use requires the applicable pharmacopoeia grade.
