Propylene carbonate is a high-boiling polar aprotic solvent used in lithium battery electrolytes. It is also used as a reactive diluent in industrial coatings and as a solvent in pharmaceutical and cosmetic formulations. Further applications include carbon dioxide recovery, solvent extraction, natural gas purification and plasticisation. It takes the form of clear colourless liquid. Packaging options include 200 kg steel drum, 1000 kg IBC and ISO tank. Cosmetic use is subject to the applicable cosmetic-ingredient conditions. Pharmaceutical use requires the applicable pharmacopoeia grade.
