Bis(2-ethylhexyl)sebacaat, of DOS, is een sebacaat-diesterweekmaker. Het wordt gebruikt voor flexibiliteit bij lage temperaturen en lage vluchtigheid in PVC en synthetische rubbers. Andere toepassingen zijn onder meer smeermiddelformuleringen en cosmetische toepassingen als verzachtend middel, filmvormend ingrediënt en weekmaker. Het materiaal is een heldere, kleurloze olieachtige vloeistof. Cosmetisch gebruik is onderworpen aan de voor het ingrediënt geldende cosmeticavoorwaarden.
