Triethanolamine, ook bekend als TEA of trolamine, is een alkanolamine. Het werkt als pH-regelaar en neutralisatiemiddel. Het wordt ook gebruikt als emulgatortussenproduct en chemisch tussenproduct in cosmetica, wasmiddelen, cementadditieven en metaalbewerkingsvloeistoffen. Het is een heldere, kleurloze tot lichtgele stroperige vloeistof. Cosmetisch gebruik is onderworpen aan de voor het ingrediënt geldende cosmeticavoorwaarden. Farmaceutisch gebruik vereist de toepasselijke farmacopeekwaliteit.
