Triethanolamine, also known as TEA or trolamine, is an alkanolamine. It acts as a pH adjuster and neutralising agent. It is also used as an emulsifier intermediate and chemical intermediate in cosmetics, detergents, cement additives and metalworking fluids. It is a clear, colourless to pale-yellow viscous liquid. The catalogue lists cosmetic and pharmaceutical grades in 200 kg steel drums, 1000 kg IBCs and ISO tanks. Cosmetic use is subject to the applicable cosmetic-ingredient conditions. Pharmaceutical use requires the applicable pharmacopoeia grade.
