Acid Red 52 is a water-soluble xanthene dye used in textile colouring. It dyes wool and polyamides and is used to produce daylight-fluorescent pink pigments. Other applications include detergents, cleaners and printing inks. It is also used in selected cosmetic colour applications such as hair colourants. The recorded grade is technical. Packaging formats include 25 kg fibre drums and 100 kg drums. Cosmetic use is subject to the applicable cosmetic-ingredient conditions.
