Itaconic acid is an unsaturated, bio-based dicarboxylic acid monomer. It is a monomer for resins and coatings. It also serves as a chelating agent and as an intermediate in specialty chemical synthesis. Applications include acrylic fibres, latex, resins, plasticisers and lubricating-oil additives. The material is a fine, white crystalline powder. Recorded packaging formats include 25 kg bags and 1000 kg big bags.
