Potassium Nitrate appears as a white crystalline powder. Potassium nitrate is an inorganic nitrate salt and an oxidising agent. It is used as a fertiliser and as food additive E 252 in specified cured-meat products. It is also used as a desensitising ingredient in dental care products.
