Acid Orange 7 is sodium 4-[(2-hydroxy-1-naphthyl)azo]benzenesulphonate. It is used as a dye, as a biological stain and, to a limited extent, as an indicator. It is an orange, odourless powder. Cosmetic use is subject to the applicable cosmetic-ingredient conditions.
