Cocamidopropyl betaine, or CAPB, is an amphoteric surfactant derived from coconut fatty acids. It provides mild cleansing and foam in shampoos, liquid soaps and bubble baths. It also supports thickening when combined with anionic surfactants in these personal-care formulations. Applications include personal-care cleansers and detergent products. Packaging formats include 200 kg drums, 1000 kg intermediate bulk containers and bulk tankers. Cosmetic use is subject to the applicable cosmetic-ingredient conditions.
