Coco-betaine, also called coconut alkyldimethyl betaine, is an amphoteric alkyl-dimethyl betaine surfactant derived from coconut oil. It provides mild cleansing in shampoos, liquid soaps and bubble baths. It also contributes antistatic properties and viscosity control in these personal-care formulations. The material is a clear to pale yellow viscous aqueous liquid. Packaging formats include 200 kg drums, 1000 kg intermediate bulk containers and bulk tankers. Cosmetic use is subject to the applicable cosmetic-ingredient conditions.
