C12-14 fatty alcohol ethoxylate belongs to a major class of nonionic surfactants produced by ethoxylation of mid-cut coconut or palm kernel fatty alcohols. It is used as a high-performance detergency booster in laundry powders and liquid cleaners, in textile scouring and in industrial degreasing. Its appearance ranges from a clear liquid to a white waxy paste depending on the ethylene oxide content.
