Linear alkylbenzene sulfonic acid (LABSA) is an anionic surfactant intermediate produced by sulfonating linear alkylbenzene. It is neutralised in the manufacture of laundry detergents, dishwashing liquids, industrial cleaners and textile processing agents. The catalogue describes it as a brown to dark brown viscous liquid.
