Di-n-octyl sebacate is a sebacic acid diester plasticiser. It provides low-temperature flexibility and low volatility in PVC compounds for cold-resistant applications and specialty gaskets. Cosmetic applications include use as a film-forming ingredient, plasticiser and emollient. The material is a clear, colourless to light yellow liquid. The recorded grade is technical. Packaging formats include 190 kg steel drums, 900 kg IBCs and ISO tanks. Cosmetic use is subject to the applicable cosmetic-ingredient conditions.
