Potassium chloride is a potassium salt used as a food additive for sodium reduction. It also acts as an electrolyte replenisher in pharmaceutical formulations. Other applications include fertiliser raw materials and water-treatment additives. Its appearance is a white crystalline powder or granules. The catalogue lists food, pharmaceutical, USP, Ph. Eur. and technical grades in 25 kg bags, 1000 kg big bags and bulk packaging. Food use as E 508 is subject to the applicable food-additive specification and permitted-use conditions.
